Archivist FAQ
Yes. Level 2 registration requires no payment at any stage. Your email address, a name, and a password — that is all. The archive does not ask for payment to become a registered archivist.
Level 2 grants access to 8 classified archive files — historical documents, intelligence files, and operational records that are not available to unregistered visitors — plus Chapters 4–12 of Blue Lantern. It is the standard archivist tier.
Level 3 is not purchased — it is earned through community participation: archive challenges, discovery events, and contributions to ongoing investigations. Details of the pathway are sent in the Week 2 archivist email.
Two files in the archive are permanently sealed at Level 4. The White Tiger Seal provenance document and Raymond Wong’s election file will not be released until the archive’s final community declassification event. There is no access pathway for these files at present.
Yes — the archive sends a monthly “Filed This Month” newsletter and an onboarding sequence over your first two weeks, guiding you through the archive and introducing new files as they are released. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Chapters 1–3 are free to all visitors. Chapters 4–12 unlock with free Level 2 registration. Chapters 13–24 require Full Series Access, available via the shop for £9.99 digital or £24.99 physical + digital.
Yes. Email the archive administration at any time to request account deletion. All personal data is removed within 30 days in accordance with UK GDPR.
The Red Pole Archives is a transmedia fiction project — the documents are designed to feel institutional and real, but they are original creative works. The historical context (Hong Kong, the ICAC, the 1997 Handover) is real. The characters and their files are fiction.
